Westport Properties’ investment philosophy is to simply: buy, hold, and operate our storage facilities for the long term. We believe this is the best way to maximize asset value and achieve above average results during favorable economic conditions. This philosophy also tends to be more resilient during economic downturns. Because of this approach, we are not beholden to a three to five year exit strategy and can make operational decisions that are truly in the best interest of the property.
Our portfolio doubled in size during the real estate crash of 2008 because of our long-term perspective and responsible management of growth. This enables us to continually invest in our operating platform of people, processes and technology.
